Four hard, traditional British handmade cheeses locally made in their regions. These cheeses are true Farmhouses cheeses that are made with the farms raw milk on the farm. They are then cloth wrapped and left to mature to strength.
Box includes:
A strong, lactic hard cheese. This true clothbound farmhouse cheese is made from unpasteurised milk from their own herd of cows. Wonderful on its own but equally brilliant to add a little style to any dish as its strong distinctive flavour.
Unpasteurised/ Animal Rennet.
A quirky territorial cheese. A bit like a cheddar and a bit like an Alpine cheese. Lincolnshire Poacher is a unique cheese. Strong and rustic this cheese has a legion of followers. A good, earthy rind adds to the flavour. Goes very well with a beer, or two
Unpasteurised/Animal Rennet.
Subtle and delicately flavoured this award winning cheese is one of our few British cheeses that has a protected designated origin (PDO). Made with milk from a Gloucester herd on Charles Martell’s farm in Gloucestershire. It has a lovely rind that is good to eat. It pairs nicely with a dry sparkling cider.
Unpasteurised/ Animal Rennet.
A hard, robust Red cheese. Made by the Leicester Cheese Company in South west Leicestershire. A real clothbound farmhouse it is unrecognisable from it industrial made counterpart. The good rustic farmyard flavour is a telling sign that this is a good bit of stuff.
Unpasteurised/ Animal Rennet.
